Turning Point Warrington, PA

For someone who was born in the wintertime, it’s always a challenge to go out and do anything for my birthday, especially since the January weather is usually unpredictable. My allergies to Gluten and Dairy were also a factor in where Mom could take me since they make dining out prohibitive for me and places limitations on where I can eat and feel comfortable. The first opportunity that we got, which was the beginning of February, we hopped into our old Toyota before daylight broke (about 6:45 AM) and headed out to Turning Point. This was a place that we’ve been to a couple times before and I knew that it was somewhere that I felt comfortable at. I also knew that any dish that I wanted on the Gluten Sensitive menu could be made without cheese.

Turning Point Warrington is located at 1584 Main Street, Warrington, PA in The Shops at Valley Square shopping center. The Warrington location is one of 18 locations in the Tri State area, two of which will be opening very soon. For breakfast, I had the veggie omelet with no cheese and home fries with a large orange juice. The omelet was delicious with the chunks of vegetables and the home fries were delectable little chunks of perfection. The meal also came with a small fruit cup consisting of red grapes, honeydew melon, and pineapple. For those who aren’t Gluten or Dairy sensitive, my mother thoroughly enjoyed the Power Grain Lemon Blueberry Dream pancakes along with her usual coffee.

The restaurant was clean and brightly lit. The atmosphere of the dining area was pleasant and comfortable and perfect for conversation. The service was excellent and Shaun was very helpful in helping me make sure that my selection stayed within the parameters of what I can have in regards to my allergies. While Turning Point does have a Gluten Sensitive menu, they do not have a dedicated Gluten Free kitchen. However, they do make sure that the area where the Gluten sensitive meals are prepared is wiped down and cleaned before the meal is prepared. Turning Point also gets very busy, so calling ahead is recommended. If you are ever in the vicinity of the Warrington location, or any other of the Turning Point locations, it’s definitely worth stopping in and having a meal.
